About Us
Our history:
In 1969, Ron Hawk started with one truck to deliver feed to the local turkey industry. Knox County, Ohio was one of the largest producers of turkey in the nation. Farmers in our area were pioneers in the growth and health of turkeys. The Cuddy Farms Turkey Hatchery still resides in Danville, supplying poults across the country.

Within a short time, Ron expanded the Feed Mill into a full service farm store. He supplied both bulk and bag feed and farm supplies to the local farm community. Grain storage was added and became a major part of the business.

In recent decades, the economy and community have changed. And so did we. In 1991, Ron purchased the property adjacent to the feed mill and started offering building supplies and top quality lumber.

Our business today:
In 1999, it was time to respond to the needs of the community again. We opened a PRO hardware store, adding to our lumber and home center. We offer a full line of lumber, siding, shingles, trusses, cabinets, windows, doors and much more.

Our hardware provides the plumbing and electircal supplies to local contractors and do-it-yourselfers. It also provides a full service hardware to the customer in need of household items.

Beginning in 2000 we are offering Bobcat skid loaders, excavators and related equipment to the local community.

Feed and grain remains a mainstay of our business. We offer custom mixing of your ration as well as Nutrena and Kent feed products. Ron and Doug Hawk are available to help you with all of your livestock needs. Pet foods, bird seed, animal health products, and farm supplies are available.

For the grain farmer, we can help you with the merchandising of your grain, or storage if needed. We offer seeds, chemicals and liquid fertilizer.

Our future:
Unfortunately, the turkey farms are mostly gone now. Our community still has many farms with grain, sheep, cattle and other agricultural production. We will be here to serve those farms, no matter what their future needs will be.

Ron is now teaching the business to his youngest son, Doug. Doug and his family have made this their home and will continue to change and serve you as only a small town business can.
